At the Riga Christmas Market, the deposit system will operate also in 2025.
When purchasing a drink, the visitor pays a deposit fee (€2) in addition to the drink price and receives a cup that can be used throughout the event or exchanged for a clean one when needed.
Please note that vendors do not return the deposit money — when leaving, the cup can be returned at a designated return point. The refund can be received in a bank account by tapping a bank card or phone at the terminal located at the deposit return point.
